This sequel again fashions a sort of modern Adam and Eve myth by stranding two young children, a boy and a girl, on a remote tropical island where they must fend for themselves in order to survive. The pair flounder about, essentially re-creating civilization from scratch. But when the two of them hit puberty, things heat up considerably.

In this sequel to the 1980 original, Richard and Emmeline, the two teens from the first film, and their infant son, set out to sea in a boat. The parents die, but the infant is rescued by a passing ship. Before long, plague breaks out on the ship, and a young woman and her infant daughter take the baby boy and wind up on the very same island where the boy was born. The days become years as three stranded castaways, make a life for themselves. When the woman dies, the two now grown children (Milla Jovovich and Brian Krause) must learn to cope. Their life together is blissful, but not without physical and emotional challenges.

A widow, her infant daughter, and a young orphaned boy are cast off from the ship they are travelling on, and are stranded on a deserted island. The widow tries to raise them to be civilised, but soon gives up, as the boy, Richard (Brian Krause), was born and raised by young lovers on this same island, and he influences the widow's daughter, Lilli (Milla). They grow up, and the widow teaches them from the bible, as well as from her own knowledge. When they are about eight, she dies, leaving them to finish raising themselves.

Plot Synopsis: Although the title rather suggests a sequel to The Blue Lagoon, this is rather a variation on the same theme- neither Christopher Atkins nor Brooke Shields returns - Emmeline is dead, but a new generation is shipwrecked again on a desert island. This time the two kids, Richard and Lilly, have no experience in the civilizes world at all, and have to discover everything on their own, but loves proves an indomitable instinct, even given a 'choice' of one inhabitant per gender.
